AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and he’s set to face Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura on the Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday, April 8.
But there’s been some concern over AJ’s status for the match after WWE ran an injury angle at the Madison Square Garden live event last week, and Styles was later pulled from the following live events.
It’s been reported that AJ Styles is dealing with some type of injury and that he was evaluated at Raw on Monday, but the specifics of the injury are unknown. Catch-Newz recently asked Styles if he’ll be defending his title at WrestleMania, and he said that he will be facing Shinsuke at the Show of Shows even if his leg gets cut off.
“If my leg got cut off, I’d find a way to make it to WrestleMania. So I think just to answer that question, I will be wrestling Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania. Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine.”
This is certainly good news for AJ Styles fans, as the champion seems quite confident that he’ll be able to perform at WrestleMania 34.
Hopefully this means that Styles was just pulled from recent live events as a precautionary member, and that whatever he is dealing with at the moment isn’t significant enough to cause him to miss out on one of this year’s most anticipated matches.
