John Cena made his long awaited return on Monday Night Raw and he made a heartfelt speech about Memorial Day. Cena then talked about how good it feels to finally be back and he said that he will not go quietly into the night. Cena said that the New Era will have to go through him because he’s not just going to step aside.
AJ Styles then made his way to the ring and the crowd chanted for both men for several minutes. Finally AJ Styles said that he had been waiting a long time to meet John Cena and that he respects him. Styles then extended his hand and John Cena shook it.
The Club then came out and talked trash to Styles and made it seem like they were going to attack him and Cena but Styles turned on Cena and beat him down.

The Club and AJ then beat John Cena down for several minutes and they started to leave. AJ Styles walked up the ramp and ran back to the ring to attack John Cena three separate times before he finally left. AJ Styles walked up the ramp at the end of the segment yelling, “You’re welcome world.”
