AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and he’s been the top star on SmackDown Live for quite some time now.
Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to win the title for the second time in his career in November of 2017, and he’s been taking on all comers ever since.
On Sunday, Styles will defend the title against Samoa Joe, but win or lose, he recently became the longest reigning WWE Champion in the history of SmackDown.

Between AJ’s two WWE Championship reigns he’s at number 13 on the list of all time combined reigns, and he’s only 40 days away from tying CM Punk for the number 12 spot.
