AJ Styles Battles John Cena In A Street Fight: WWE Charleston, WV Results 3/13/17

The stars of WWE SmackDown took their show to Charleston, West Virginia on March 13th and the crowd in attendance witnessed anything but a typical house show. We would like to thank Andy Frampton and Thomas Mac for the following detailed report.

Heath Slater, Rhyno, and Kalisto faced off against Curt Hawkins and Breezango in the opening match. Slater, Rhyno, and Kalisto went over to start the night off. Heath Slater is way over in West Virginia, as can be assumed by the fact he’s from the Mountaineer State. There were a lot of chants for Heath Slater and his kids during the match.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Apollo Crews with a superkick making him one of the few heels that won at the house show. He was still super over because people just love the Show-Off.

American Alpha successfully defended their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The Usos in a match that impressed people with their agility, but there is so much more WWE could do with both of these teams.

Dean Ambrose defeated Baron Corbin, but he won via disqualification when The Lone Wolf brought a chair into the situation.

Bray Wyatt put his WWE Championship on the line against Luke Harper in what was said to be a brutal and hard-hitting contest. The two brawled outside for quite a bit and reports are they set up the ring stairs on the edge of the aisle-way and Wyatt eventually Irish whipped Harper into them for an incredible bump.

Bray ended up winning with a Sister Abigail after Luke reversed it once on him. The WWE Champion is super over in West Virginia. There was also a really cool moment during the match when Bray executed Jake Roberts’ DDT and even signaled for it just like The Snake did years ago. There are striking resemblances between Bray and Jake, and this move was an amazing homage to the WWE Hall of Famer.

The women of WWE SmackDown competed in an 8-woman tag match with Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Mickie James, and Natalya squaring off against Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Tamina Snuka, and Asuka. Asuka was very over with the fans. The faces came out on top of this contest. Reports are that Tamina “looked like a million bucks.”

Miz came out and acknowledged a sign in the front row which said “Miz Eats Boogers,” he assured the crowd that he did not eat nose goblins. The crowd gave him a huge “Yes” chant and he said “when my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut,” like a kindergarten teacher. Miz then cut a promo on the entire locker room saying nobody wanted to face him because they were all scared. Randy Orton came out and shut Miz up to start their match. Randy attempted an RKO a couple of times, but once he finally landed one that was all she wrote for the A-Lister.

AJ Styles and John Cena headlined the show in a West Virginia Street Fight match. The two men used chairs, kendo sticks, and trash cans against each other. Reports are the match got very stiff and these guys let each other have it. After a good twenty minutes, AJ reportedly got Cena down for “the longest two-count I’ve ever seen that wasn’t from Nick Patrick.”

Cena made a comeback and gave AJ Styles an Attitude Adjustment through a table for the win. The crowd went home very happy after seeing some brutal action at the Charleston Civic Center.
