AJ Styles and Michelle McCool have both had successful careers in their own right, but over the years there’s been a lot debate about the similarities between their finishing moves.
The Phenomenal One has put away his fair share of opponents with the Styles Clash, and Michelle McCool has done the same with the Faithbreaker. During a recent appearance on The Bump hose Kayla Braxton asked Styles and McCool if there are any subtle differences between the two moves, and AJ Styles shared his observation on the maneuver.
“There is, and I’ll point it out, right to you. So I think hers is more of a ‘fall flat’ and mine’s a ‘jump up’, and sometimes she grabs at their waist, and I always grab at the legs. So there’s a little difference in the way we do it.”
Michelle McCool then responded by saying, “yeah,” and “there you go,” after Kayla Braxton said both moves are devastating.
It was announced a few weeks ago that Michelle McCool will be entering the women’s Royal Rumble match, and AJ Styles has also been confirmed for the men’s Royal Rumble match. The Royal Rumble pay-per-view will air live on Saturday, January 29th. Stay tuned for updates.
