CM Punk has been feuding with Seth Rollins for the better part of two years now and he challenged Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a four way match at Clash in Paris last month. Becky Lynch ended up interfering in the match and she cost Punk the title when she hit him with a low blow which allowed Rollins to retain.
After one thing led to another, CM Punk decided to call in some backup in the form of his wife AJ Lee. It was then confirmed that AJ would team with CM Punk to face Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at WWE WrestlePalooza.
AJ Lee wanted to start the match, but Seth Rollins started off on the opposing team, so AJ had to step out. As soon as Punk entered the ring Becky tagged in and started pushing him around. Punk tagged AJ in, but Becky ran away from her and tagged Seth back into the match. Becky and Seth kissed on the outside of the ring as CM Punk did a dive through the ropes to take Seth out.
When the action returned to the ring Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch isolated CM Punk in their corner as AJ Lee anxiously awaited an opportunity to tag in. Finally CM Punk managed to tag AJ, but the referee didn’t see it, so the ref blocked AJ from entering the match. Seth Rollins pressed Becky over her head and tried to throw her body onto Punk as Punk rolled out of the ring and Rollins dropped Becky on the mat. Rollins charged at Punk and Punk dodged it. CM Punk tried to make the tag, but Becky pulled AJ off the apron to prevent Punk from tagging her in.
Seth Rollins skipped around the ring and Punk popped up then hit him with the GTS. Becky Lynch begged Rollins to wake up. She grabbed Punk’s leg as Punk tried to tag AJ in. He laughed then blew Becky a kiss as he finally tagged AJ Lee into the match.
AJ dominated Becky as soon as she got in the ring. After AJ connected with several moves on Becky the fans chanted “you still got it.” Seth Rollins tried to interfere and AJ unloaded on him.
Shortly after AJ locked the Black Widow in on Becky Lynch. Seth Rollins tried to interfere again, but Punk caught him and locked in the Sharpshooter. Seth broke up the Black Widow as he pulled AJ off Becky. However, AJ locked the Black Widow in on Seth and Becky broke it up.
Becky and Seth both hit the Pedigree on their respective opponents and went for the GTS after. Punk knocked Seth outside of the ring and AJ connected with a Becksploder on Lynch. AJ was setting Becky up for a move, but Rollins grabbed her leg and knocked her down. CM Punk immediately responded with a Stomp on Rollins.
Lynch started to attack CM Punk, but he blocked it. Punk tried to put Becky in the Sharpshooter as Rollins broke it up and Becky put Punk in the Sharpshooter instead. Punk reversed it then Rollins connected with a Stomp on Punk. Rollins pinned Punk as AJ broke it up before the three.
AJ and Punk cleared off the announce tables on the outside and tried to put their opponents through them. Punk tried to hit Rollins with the GTS on the table, but Becky threw AJ into Punk and the table collapsed.
Becky Lynch rolled Becky back into the ring and went for the Manhandle Slam. AJ reversed it into the Black Widow and Becky Lynch tapped out.
