It’s been a while since fans have seen AJ Mendez (formerly known as AJ Lee in WWE) wrestle a full match, but it looks like we’ll be seeing her on the second season of Heels when the show returns on Starz later this summer. AJ’s husband CM Punk appeared in season one of Heels as a character named Ricky Rabies and AJ will appear as a character known as Elle Dorado in season two.
It seems that AJ has gotten in great shape ahead of the season two premiere as she recently shared some photos of her physique along with the following caption: “been bulking”
The former Divas Champion also received a lot of encouragement in the comments section as names like Saraya, Trinity Fatu and Dax Harwood praised her for the work she’s put in.
AJ last competed in a six-woman tag team match on the Raw after WrestleMania 31 in 2015. After that she parted ways with WWE and quietly retired from in-ring competition.
