Fans waited a long time for AJ Lee to return and she finally did just that last year when she confronted Becky Lynch on SmackDown. AJ Lee has since gone on to become the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and she’s set to defend the belt against Becky on the Grandest Stage of Them All next week.
While talking to The Takedown on SI about former stars she’d like to see return AJ Lee mentioned Paige and Katlyn when she said, “I love Paige… if I could bring somebody back, her and Kaitlyn. Let’s get them back.”
The current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion continued to praise Paige when she added, “It would be great. She’s so talented and I knew it from day one. We’d always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room. I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they’re so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now.”
After announcing her in-ring retirement in 2018, Paige went on to join All Elite Wrestling in 2022, and she returned to the ring that same year under her real name Saraya. Back in March of 2025, Saraya announced her departure from AEW, but WWE has given no indication that they’re looking to bring her back.
