Things are always exciting in the AEW tag team division, but unfortunately not all of the teams on the roster have been used consistently. Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison have been working as The Blonds in AEW for some time. However, they last appeared on TV during an episode of Rampage that aired in October.
Brian Pillman Jr. recently spoke to Wrestling Inc. about their status, and he noted that despite their lack of TV time The Blonds are signed to lucrative deals with All Elite Wrestling.
“That’s just the nature of the beast. We all want stuff to happen right away. But they did sign me and Griff to some lucrative longer deals, so it’s not like there isn’t food on the table, but there comes a certain aspect where you start to get hungry for more and you want to get back in the spotlight.”
Pillman also stated that he’s still working to push himself even though the company isn’t pushing the team right now when he added, “And a lot of my work, I’m just starting to take more pride in because no one else will for you. No one else is going to give you that push. You got to kind of push yourself sometimes.”
