Ever since All Elite Wrestling first emerged in 2019 fans have seen former WWE stars make the jump to the promotion. However, in recent years names like Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill have jumped from AEW to WWE, and it sounds like more AEW stars could be looking to make the same move.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that one person in WWE said that they believe that the wrestling war will turn into a situation similar to WCW or TNA where AEW is signing older names from WWE with WWE taking AEW’s younger talent. The claim is that a pipeline has been developed and there are already some younger stars in AEW who are talking about leaving the company when their contracts expire.
People in AEW are reportedly saying that same thing in regard to it being known that people are looking to leave. The hope is that the number won’t be high because the perception that AEW is the feeder league for WWE wouldn’t be good for the company.
It seems that there will likely be movement in both directions, but right now WWE is currently interested in the key younger talent on the All Elite Wrestling roster.
