Ric Flair is a two time WWE Hall of Famer but it was recently reported that The Nature Boy had been released from his contract, and WWE confirmed the release with the following statement:
“We have come to terms on the release of Ric Flair as of today, 8/03/2021.”
Now that Ric Flair has parted ways with WWE there’s obvious speculation that he could end up appearing in AEW at some point. From time to time fans suggest released WWE stars they would like to see in the Dark Order, and following Flair’s release Evil Uno joked that Flair should lead the group.
Ric Flair should join Dark Order.

Sting also reacted to the news when he posted a clip from a match with Flair along with a simple caption saying, “WOOOO!!!”

Whether or not Flair will end up joining AEW remains to be seen, but at least a few members of the AEW roster seem to be excited about The Nature Boy’s future.
