The AEW roster has changed a lot over the last few years as a number of wrestlers have come and gone and Dax Harwood of FTR has openly claimed that their contracts with All Elite Wrestling are set to expire in April.
FTR recently returned to TV earlier this month at the Revolution pay-per-view which has left the wrestling world to ask questions about their future with the promotion. Fightful Select is reporting that FTR is still very much claiming privately that their deals are set to expire in April. However, the report noted that claim has not been confirmed whatsoever.
Following their return at Revolution it was reported that FTR are actually locked in to long term deals with AEW and the team being removed from TV was part of a storyline. Dax addressed the reports on his podcast recently and insisted that nothing has changed with their contract status.
“These reports are going to say what they want, and that’s okay. I will say, nothing has changed and please allow everything to play out and come April, you’ll be able to understand what we’re doing and where we’re going. We have a month and 18 days left to make a decision on what we’re going to do. I’m not in any kind of peril as far as getting ourselves in trouble.”
One way or another it will be interesting to see what happens with FTR in April. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
