Since All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019 a number of familiar names have joined the company. Matt and Jeff Hardy are two of the most recognizable names in wrestling, and while both brothers are on the AEW roster right now one of them has a deal that is set to expire shortly.
Fightful Select is reporting that Matt Hardy’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is currently set to expire this month. Hardy first signed with the company in March of 2020.
Originally Jeff Hardy’s AEW deal was set to match Matt’s deal in length, but that’s not the case anymore as time was added to the deal due to injuries and inactivity.
Matt Hardy and AEW have been in contact recently regarding the deal. However, there’s no word on whether or not it’s expected to be extended. So far Matt has only been booked for one match in 2024, but he did wrestle regularly in 2023.
