AEW Star Suspended For Offensive Comments About Sasha Banks

Since the inception of AEW the company has put a few fresh faces at the forefront, one of which happens to be Sammy Guevara.

Sammy Guevara has recently found himself trending on social media after some previous comments from 2016 where he said he wanted to “f***ing rape” Sasha Banks surfaced online.

Both Sasha Banks and Sammy have issued statements on the comments, but now AEW has confirmed that Sammy has been suspended without pay until further notice.

AEW issued the following statement:

“AEW insists on doing our part to create a world of understanding and respect for humankind. We therefore strongly condemn the extremely offensive and hurtful words of Sammy Guevara. As such effective immediately, Sammy is suspended without pay until further notice. Sammy has agreed to undergo extensive sensitivity training and, upon completion, his future status within the company will be re-evaluated. During his suspension, his salary will be donated to the Women’s Center of Jacksonville.”
