The Hammerstein Ballroom has been an exciting place to be over the last few days as AEW taped several shows at the venue. The action kicked off with the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view on Friday, December 20, and Matt Cardona challenged Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship in the main event.
Chris Jericho managed to successfully defend his ROH World Championship against Matt Cardona and Bandido made his surprise return immediately after the match. Bandido laid out Chris Jericho with a missile dropkick, but there was some speculation that Bandido may have suffered an injury during his return.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Bandido did indeed suffer a concussion when he landed on his head while performing the missile dropkick at ROH Final Battle.
According to the report Bandido was originally scheduled to challenge Chris Jericho for the Ring of Honor World Championship at some point. However, the status of the title match is unclear as it’s not known how long Bandido will be out of action
