CM Punk has been one of the most controversial wrestlers for years now and ever since the All Out pay-per-view in September of 2022 people have been talking about his backstage altercation with The Elite. Punk is expected to return to AEW soon, but it’s been reported that some members of the AEW roster still have unresolved issues with him.
One wrestler who doesn’t have any issues with CM Punk is Saraya. The former WWE Divas Champion recently explained to BBC that she and Punk have always gotten along well, and that she wants whatever is best for business when it comes to his return.
“[Punk has] always been an absolute sweetheart to me. [We’ve] never had any conflict whatsoever. He’s been very helpful, given a lot of advice over the years.”
“I want whatever’s best for business,” Saraya continued. “If people don’t like each other, you have to find that common ground in a professional setting, you know? … There’s been people I don’t like over the years, but I’ve never let my personal feelings get in the way of business at the end of the day.”
It’s expected that AEW will be launching a new show on Saturdays called Collision with CM Punk as the star. Originally it was believed that AEW would be using the show to split the roster, but it seems that the company has other plans and you can get more on that here.
