Batista still has yet to be officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but there’s no denying that he’s had a Hall of Fame worthy career. The Animal has held WWE’s top titles, main evented WrestleMania, and feuded with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Wardlow is currently on the rise in AEW, and he often gets compared to Batista. During a recent K&S WrestleFest signing Wardlow said he finds the comparisons flattering, but he also made a bold statement about being better than Batista.
“I am always very flattered with comparisons to Batista. Of course, I have to have some more confidence, so I’ll go out on a limb and say that I am better than Batista, which I know is a hell of a statement, but any comparisons to him are honestly flattering. I was a huge Batista fan. Very much a large reason why I’m sitting here talking to you today.”
Batista last competed at WrestleMania 35 where he was defeated by Triple H. Following the match he confirmed his retirement from in-ring competition. It’s expected that he will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year during WrestleMania season.
