You never know what’s going to happen when you watch an episode of AEW Dynamite and this week Jon Moxley faced off against Rey Fenix in a singles match.
Jon Moxley defeated Rey Fenix then Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta made their way out to help Moxley beat down his opponent. Eddie Kingston and Penta came out to back up Rey Fenix, but Ortiz stood in their way and blocked them. That’s when Santana’s music hit and he made his return to AEW.
Santana and Ortiz then took out Penta and Eddie Kingston as Wheeler Yuta hit Phoenix with a crowbar inside the ring. Orange Cassidy and Best Friends came out to back up Kingston, Fenix and Penta. Santana and Ortiz then left through the crowd with the Blackpool Combat Club.
Medical officials checked on Fenix as a stretcher was brought out. Eddie Kingston, Best Friends and Penta looked very concerned as they stood in the ring. When the show returned from commercial Rey Fenix was stretchered into an ambulance.
It now appears that Santana and Ortiz will be joining the Blackpool Combat Club for their Stadium Stampede match against Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Orange Cassidy, and Best Friends at AEW All In. Stay tuned for updates.
