William Regal has become a very hot topic over the last few days as he joined All Elite Wrestling back in March, but it was recently reported that he’s done with the company and is set to return to WWE soon.
Former WWE star EC3 recently spoke on William Regal’s AEW departure and he noted that while Regal was willing to mentor the talent on the roster, people weren’t listening. He also claimed that William Regal had regrets about joining the company due to a maturity issue with management.
Justin LaBar of Busted Open Radio commented on the situation on Twitter recently, and Brian Pillman Jr. noted that there were at least some people who were interested in taking Regal’s advice when he posted the following:
“This is not entirely true. There are several of us, myself included, who spent multiple hours before TV working with Regal and learning from him. Should there have been more? Maybe, but he and Danielson always had a solid audience around the ring before TV.
I know you said “some”, I just didn’t want the narrative to be that he was just standing there preaching to the air. Some days there would be 10 guys out there soaking it in, some days it would just be me and wheeler and Lee. I didn’t mind when his attention wasn’t spread as thin”
