Over the last few months AEW has signed a number of talents to new contracts, and it was recently reported that Buddy Matthews has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the deal was agreed to months ago. It’s also being reported that at one point Buddy Matthews tried to give his notice to All Elite Wrestling, but the company wasn’t going to release anyone to go to WWE. Since then Tony Khan offered him a very lucrative deal and Matthews agreed to it.
Buddy Matthews first signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2022 and he aligned himself with the House of Black. Last year Buddy Matthews captured championship gold for the first time in his AEW career when the House of Black defeated The Elite to become the AEW Trios Champions.
