There are a number of free agents currently in demand in the wrestling world, and last week it was confirmed that Jay White had signed with AEW. Now it seems that AEW has taken steps to keep Brian Cage with the company as he’s signed a new contract.

Fightful Select is reporting that ROH Six Man Tag Team Champion Brian Cage signed a new multi-year deal this week that will keep him with All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor. Tony Khan recently noted that he was hoping to keep Brian Cage and The Embassy with the company for a long time.

It was reported recently that Brian Cage’s deal with AEW was coming up and he essentially became a free agent after the ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view. Several top talent pushed for Cage to sign a new deal and it’s being said that there were top talent in WWE who were angling for Cage to join the company.

WWE had some interest in Brian Cage, but he liked the deal that AEW offered him, and he worked with an agent throughout the process. Over the last few weeks AEW worked hard to get the deal done and it was agreed to in principle by the time creative with Swerve Strickland was started.
