Last month the All Out pay-per-view took place from Chicago and after CM Punk won the AEW World Championship in the main event he made some controversial comments during the post-show media scrum. Punk fired shots at Adam Page, MJF and The Elite which led to an altercation backstage.
CM Punk and Ace Steel were involved in a physical altercation with The Elite, and several names were suspended after it took place. An investigation into the altercation is ongoing, but Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Ace Steel has been released.
“He was officially released yesterday, so that is the first bit of news out of that whole situation in weeks. But yes, he was released and there’s a lot of other stuff going on, but it’s just stuff going on, but there’s nothing else really to it. But he was released yesterday.”
Stay tuned for more updates on the investigation as they become available.
