Recently there’s been a lot of talk about AEW departures and it’s been reported by multiple outlets that Andrade’s AEW contract is expiring soon. It’s also been reported that Andrade is expected to part ways with All Elite Wrestling when his deal is up.
Fightful Select is reporting that numerous sources indicated that Andrade made it clear at the recent AEW Dynamite tapings on Wednesday that he no longer wanted to be part of AEW and had plans to leave the company. It’s being said that the situation regarding his departure was less than pleasant with some saying that a major disagreement had unfolded.
WWE sources had been told by people close to Andrade that his deal wouldn’t be up until the spring. However, people in AEW who spoke on the subject expect his deal to expire imminently. Many people in both companies expect Andrade to return to WWE.
There has been internal chatter about Andrade potentially returning at Day 1 Raw. One source seemed befuddled at the idea, but didn’t outright deny it.
On Saturday night Andrade faced off against Miro in a singles match at the Worlds End pay-per-view. CJ Perry was working as Andrade’s manager, but she turned on him near the of the match when Andrade had Miro in a hold and she broke it up. Miro then followed up by making Andrade tap out.
Stay tuned for more updates on Andrade’s future as they become available.
