Over the last few years there have been many wrestlers who have appeared consistently on AEW programming and for a long time Rebel has been aligned with Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. However, it seems that Rebel is no longer part of the group.
Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rebel is no longer being used because Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter are babyfaces now.
“Rebel is no longer being used. We were told that with Baker and Hayter as babyfaces now that it was felt she didn’t work as part of that act at this point in time.”
It’s unclear if Rebel could be brought back to TV in a different role at some point in the future. As for Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, they’re still one of the top acts in the AEW women’s division and Hayter is set to defend her AEW Women’s Championship against Saraya and Ruby Soho in a triple threat match at the Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday, March 5th. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
