Next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite is set to take place from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL and it will be the Homecoming edition of Dynamite.
It was previously announced that Kris Statlander would be challenging Riho for the AEW Women’s Championship at the event, but according to the official AEW Twitter page Statlander has been pulled from the match due to prior commitments.
Instead Riho will defend her title against Nyla Rose, Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida in a fatal four way match.
AEW posted the following announcement:
“Due to prior commitments, Kris Statlander will not be in Jacksonville to face Riho for the #AEW Women’s World Championship on Wed, Jan 1st.
Riho will still defend her championship in a 4 way match w/ Nyla Rose, Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida”

It was also announced that Statlander will challenge the winner of the match the following week on the January 8th episode of Dynamite.
