We’re on the road to WrestleMania and business has been picking up for the biggest storylines in WWE. Sami Zayn has been trying to make peace with Kevin Owens so that they can team up and bring down The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes opened up SmackDown this week when he called them both down to the ring.
Cody Rhodes tried his best to get Owens and Zayn to put their issues aside, but Owens refused and walked out. Later in the show Sami Zayn found KO in the parking lot where he told Kevin that they’re brothers and he loves him. KO then drove off and left the building.
In the main event segment Sami Zayn met Jey Uso in the ring for a face to face confrontation which didn’t go so well for Zayn. The Usos ganged up on Zayn and beat him down, but Kevin Owens made his surprise return to make the save. After Owens and Zayn cleared the ring the fans chanted “hug it out” as KO and Zayn finally embraced while the crowd went wild.
AEW announcer Mark Henry praised the segment when he posted a simple tweet which said, “Wow, what a great moment in television!”
It hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but it’s been rumored for months now that KO and Sami Zayn will be challenging The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
