For years Triple H was the mastermind behind NXT, and William Regal was one of the key figures in his regime. Regal parted ways with WWE earlier this year but it seems that he still has quite a bit of respect for The Game.
During a recent episode of his Gentlemen Villain podcast the former NXT General Manager praised Triple H while noting that he has an eye for putting the right talent together.
“Triple H had an excellent eye for putting the right people with the right people. And if you’ve got that eye, then you know who to put on with who, and you know that they’re both good pros, and you can add little bits to it; it helps.”
Regal noted that it’s a bit of an odd time for him, but he wanted to acknowledge that Triple H, “knows what he’s doing.” He also praised Triple H for planning things out when he added, “He’s got all this stuff, and it’s laid out in his head. It’s 20 steps [ahead] of anything I can think of.”
