Another AEW deal is coming up as Lucha Libre Online recently reported that Penta’s contract with the company is set to expire in August or September of this year, and that WWE is interested in him.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Penta was unhappy some time ago because he wasn’t allowed to work shows that had CMLL talent, but it was noted that has seemingly been worked out to a degree.
Tony Khan has indicated that he’s confident Penta will stay with AEW, but others have said that Penta was looking into buying the rights to his name so that he could potentially take it to WWE. The belief right now is that Penta will be looking to explore all his options when his deal with All Elite Wrestling expires.
Penta first signed with AEW in 2019, and he is a one time AEW World Tag Team Champion and one time AEW World Trios Champion. Stay tuned for updates.
