Over the last few years a number of former WWE stars have jumped to All Elite Wrestling including former WWE Champion Paul Wight. Throughout his run with AEW Paul Wight has mostly worked as a commentator, but he has stepped into the ring from time to time.
Paul Wight has been dealing with some health issues that have kept him out of the ring for some time now. However, he recently explained to Metro UK that he’s hoping to get back in the ring next month.
“You know, there’s been some setbacks personally. I mean, I’ve had a couple of injury setbacks, had to get a knee replaced in August. That knee was bad for 12 years, so it could’ve gone any day! It’s like kind of like that tyre on your car that you know you should change but keep driving anyway. But we’re good now, and hopefully we’ll be back in the ring in March. Everything’s on schedule, so we’re looking good!”
Paul Wight last competed on the April 4, 2022 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation when he defeated Austin Green. Stay tuned for more updates on his return to the ring as they become available.
