AEW Star Namedrops Vince McMahon On Dynamite

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a segment with AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis in the ring, but as they were getting their promo started they were interrupted by Christian Cage.

Christian said that there’s been a video going around this week, and then the video aired. The video showed footage from Christian’s early days which featured quotes saying that Don Callis fired Christian after his first TV match in 1996, and fired him after to favor a 10 year old Kenny Omega. Christian said that the video is proof of Don Callis being a “carnie piece of s**t” and the crowd chanted “piece of s**t.”

Kenny Omega said the video proves he was a better athlete at 10 that Christian was at 20. Don Callis then grabbed the mic and said, “You know what that shows? What? That I used my power position to favor family over talent? You know what that makes me don’t you? That makes me just like Bill Watts, Eddie Graham, Vince McMahon and Verne Gagne.”

Christian, Omega and Callis continued to talk trash until Omega, Callis, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler beat Christian down. Frankie Kazarian came out carrying a pipe to make the save.
