AEW Star Expected To Join WWE After Leaving The Company

There’s been a lot of movement in the professional wrestling world over the last few years and now it looks like another All Elite Wrestling star could be WWE bound.

Fightful Select is reporting that Powerhouse Hobbs’ AEW contract expired at midnight. Contract negotiations have been ongoing and AEW made Hobbs a substantial offer to stay with the company.

Powerhouse Hobbs finished up with All Elite Wrestling at the Collision tapings after Dynamite and WWE sources have claimed he’s expected to join the company. It’s being said that WWE has been interested in Hobbs for quite some time, and the belief is that he will be heading to the company unless there is some sort of huge unforeseen change.

AEW’s offer to Hobbs was reportedly “huge” and he is leaving the company on good terms. Negotiations have been ongoing for months, but Hobbs wants to test the waters despite AEW’s substantial offer.

Rumors of Hobbs possibly heading to WWE started making the rounds months ago, although there was no contact between the two sides at that point. WWE had interest in Hobbs a few years ago when Dan Ventrelle was heading up talent relations. However, Hobbs stayed with AEW.

Stay tuned for updates.
