Over the last few years fans have seen a number of wresters get released from WWE and many of them have gone on to join All Elite Wrestling. Rusev was released from WWE in April of 2020 and he went on to join AEW a few months later where he currently performs as Miro.
It seemed that Miro had momentum on his side when he first joined AEW as he captured the TNT Championship which he held for 140 days. Miro unfortunately had to take time off due to injury, but he returned to TV in June. However, it seems that he’s been lost in the shuffle as of late.
One fan recently started an interesting conversation when posted a tweet asking if Miro is still with AEW, then added, “Seems you had it better in WWE.” It seems that Miro may agree with the fan as he liked the tweet.
Last Friday on Rampage, Mance Warner faced interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in an AEW World Title Eliminator match, and Miro commented on the bout when he asked who Moxley’s opponent was.
Miro’s deal with AEW was originally set to expire in the spring of 2022, but it was reported a few months ago that he signed an extension that will keep him with the company until 2026.
