Throughout the history of the company a number of notable names have joined the AEW roster, and Britt Baker has been with the company since the beginning. Baker was the first female wrestler to sign with AEW, but it looks like her run with the promotion could be coming to an end.
Bodyslam.net is reporting that Britt Baker is actively trying to leave All Elite Wrestling. As of right now AEW has no plans to release Britt Baker from her contract. The internal belief is that they don’t want any WWE shows in Pittsburgh announced, and also want WWE Evolution to pass before moving forward.
Baker recently got the wrestling world talking when she posted the following quote in an Instagram story:
“A bottle of water can be $1 at a supermarket, $3 at the gym, $5 at the movies, $6 on a plane…
Same water. The only thing that changed its value was the place.
So next time you feel your worth is nothing, maybe you’re at the wrong place.”
Fightful Select reported last month that Britt Baker signed a five year contract with All Elite Wrestling back in 2021 that will keep her with the company until 2026. The former AEW Women’s Champion last competed inside an AEW ring when she faced off against Penelope Ford on the 11/13/2024 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Stay tuned for updates.
