The stars of AEW have been hard at work over the last few days as the company has been taping several shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
The special AEW Dynamite on 34th Street was taped on Sunday, December 22, and AEW also taped what will apparently be the last episode of AEW Rampage for the time being.
Fans who attended the tapings noted that Tony Khan confirmed it would be the last Rampage taping “for the foreseeable future.” It’s not clear at this point in time if Tony Khan might be looking to bring the show back at some point down the line, but it appears that AEW Rampage is officially done for now. The episode that was taped at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday will air on Friday, December 27.
Back in August of 2021, AEW Rampage officially debuted on TNT. Since then AEW has added a third show, Collision, which airs on Saturday nights. Rampage’s future has been in question for some time now as it was reported that Rampage and Battle of the Belts were not included in AEW’s new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery It’s also been rumored that AEW has been shopping a new show titled Shockwave, but so far no official announcements have been made.
