AEW has been riding a wave of momentum over the last few months, and the company has managed to sign some big names such as Bryan Danielson, CM Punk and Adam Cole. There’s no telling who or what you might see when you watch AEW programming, and it’s rumored that a new title belt could be introduced sooner than later.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast recently took to Twitter to report that there’s talk of All Elite Wrestling introducing a new title, and that the belt will serve as a secondary championship for the women’s division.
“Hearing rumblings of a new title being introduced to AEW soon. It will be a secondary women’s championship. #AEW #TNT #TBS #ProWrestling”
When a fan asked if the TBS hashtag was a hint Zarian replied with a smiley face, which could be an indication that the new championship will be a TBS Title.
AEW programming will be moving to TBS in January of 2022, so it will be interesting to see how the title scene in AEW unfolds in the months to come. Stay tuned for updates.
