It’s certainly been an eventful week for WWE with Vince McMahon’s return and recently everyone’s been talking about a possible WWE sale. Several parties have been mentioned as potential buyers and it’s been reported that Shahid Khan and Tony Khan are in the pool to possibly purchase WWE.
Now CNBC is reporting that the Khans could potentially partner with a strategic media company to share WWE while merging All Elite Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.
However, it’s being said that the idea Vince McMahon would be open to merging WWE with AEW is a long shot. At this point in time Vince McMahon has not had talks with the Khans, and could look at the idea of merging the companies as a non-starter.
It’s interesting to note that one person told CNBC that the Khans are open to Vince McMahon having a role in the company after the sale, but those talks have not taken place. Stay tuned for more updates on a potential WWE sale as they become available.
