AEW Reportedly Interested In Bringing In WWE Hall Of Famer

Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling and you never know who might show up in AEW. Billy Gunn has been featured regularly on AEW programming alongside The Acclaimed, and it looks like the promotion has been in touch with one of his DX stablemates.

Haus of Wrestling is reporting that AEW has reached out to Sean Waltman about working with the promotion and possibly doing something with Billy Gunn. Details regarding the specific pitch that was made to Waltman are unknown, but it’s being said that he didn’t just want to be brought in for a one-off. Sean Waltman is getting back into ring shape and people close to him have said that they wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up in AEW.

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Billy Gunn addressed the possibility of Sean Waltman potentially working with AEW and he indicated that he thinks Waltman could be good for the company if both sides can make things work.

“I think you’d be hard-pressed to get Tony to get me away from The Acclaimed right now. It would be great. I think we’ve tried to get Sean in here a couple of times, and things just didn’t work out but I think, if the time’s right, I think he would be a great asset because he still has, you know, huge popularity and everybody knows him and he’s such a good guy. He would not only help the younger talent, but be a good, good representative for our company, and it’d be amazing if we could get him here.”
