All Elite Wrestling has an abundance of talented commentators at the moment, but there’s no telling when the company might decide to add to their roster.
Recently a fan asked Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer if AEW had ever spoke to Mike Tenay about joining the company, and he noted that before started someone reached out to Mike Tenay, but it was never followed up on for reasons that are unknown.
Another fan then followed up and asked about former WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo. According to Meltzer, AEW had a conversation with Mauro Ranallo’s management some time back. It’s not clear at this point if those talks went anywhere, but judging from the fact that Mauro is not featured on AEW programming it seems that they didn’t.

Mauro Ranallo signed with WWE in 2015 and made his debut as the play by play announcer on SmackDown in January of 2016. In 2017, Mauro Ranallo took a leave of absence from WWE and then later announced in June of that same year that he would be joining NXT. It was later announced in August of 2020 that Mauro had parted ways with the company.
