The AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view is set to air later this month on pay-per-view, and this week on AEW Dynamite Orange Cassidy and PAC faced off to determine who will challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title at the show.
PWInsider reports that original plans for the match called for PAC and Orange Cassidy to fight to a 20 minute time limit draw. However, AEW had to call an audible, and the finish for the match was changed after Cassidy suffered an injury.
After Orange Cassidy suffered the injury an audible was called, and the decision was made for Kenny Omega to attack PAC so that both men stayed down for a 10 count.
The plan was always for Kenny Omega to face both men in a triple threat match at Double or Nothing, and Cassidy was said to be ok after the show.
