CM Punk hasn’t returned to the ring, but he has returned to the world of professional wrestling.
Last week Punk appeared on WWE Backstage, and he confirmed that he will be working as a host on the show moving forward.
The former WWE Champion has been away from wrestling for five years, and he recently confirmed that he’s been catching up when he posted the following tweet:
“It IS weird trying to catch up on 5+ years of rasslin’, I’m doing what I can. There’s bright spots, mostly women from what I can tell. There’s BAD too. I’m gonna talk about it, and no one is safe. Join us. @ReneeYoungWWE @WWEonFOX @BookerT5x @RealPaigeWWE @VinceMcMahon @TonyKhan”
Apparently the “no one is safe” line caught the attention of AEW President Tony Khan, as Khan responded by referencing WWE’s travel issues in Saudi Arabia when he posted, “No one is safe? Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!”
One thing’s for sure, it will be interesting to hear what CM Punk has to say this week on WWE Backstage.
