Over the last few months Randy Orton teased his interest in AEW, but ultimately Orton ended up signing a new deal with WWE.
CM Punk recently joined WWE Backstage, and he noted on Twitter that he’s got five years of wrestling to catch up on, and “no one is safe” when it comes to him voicing his thoughts on what he’s seen.
AEW President Tony Khan made a clever reference to WWE’s travel issues in Saudi Arabia when he responded to Punk with the following: “No one is safe? Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!”
Randy Orton responded to Khan’s tweet by posting an article about Tony’s father, Shahid Khan, being investigated for corruption, and Tony pointed out the fact that Randy recently dropped the n-word on Twitch.
“I thought you only tagged me in your posts when you were grasping for leverage. That article’s over a year old + is about baseless claims made about my dad years ago. That’s the best you can do, nothing. Meanwhile in the time since that was written, you used the N word on twitch.”
