There have been a number of talented tag teams on the AEW roster over the last few years and the Lucha Bros. have been with the company since the beginning. However, Penta will be parting ways with All Elite Wrestling soon as his deal is set to expire, but Fenix will remain with the company.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the word is AEW won’t be letting Fenix out of his contract. The word is that the company doesn’t have any plans to use him either.

Fightful Select is reporting that Rey Fenix’s contract with All Elite Wrestling extends well into next year due to the injury time that was added.

It was expected that Penta and Fenix would finish up with AEW then make the jump to WWE. When AEW caught word of the plans that’s when the injury time was added. Originally there were plans for Fenix, Penta and PAC to win the AEW World Trios Titles at the All In pay-per-view over the summer.
