All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019, and there are many familiar faces that have appeared on camera, but it looks like a notable name is retiring from their backstage role with the company.
Fightful Select is reporting that seamstress Sandra Gray is set to retire. Sandra has been with the company since the beginning, but she’s set to finish up on the road with AEW imminently.
Sandra Gray is well liked by the AEW roster and has been making wrestling gear since the 90s since Sable approached her about making Johnny B. Badd’s gear in WCW. She continued to work for WCW until the company was purchased by WWE, and she worked for WWE until 2015.
Brandi Rhodes was instrumental in getting Sandra Gray hired with AEW when the company first launched. Sandra will continue to make gear for Cody Rhodes even though she’s planning to retire. It was also noted that Sandra Gray also helped make wedding dresses for on-screen wrestling weddings and outfits for the Houston Texans cheerleaders.
