It’s been a big weekend for All Elite Wrestling as the WrestleDream pay-per-view aired live from Tacoma, WA. Bryan Danielson dropped the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley in the main event which means Bryan’s full-time wrestling career is over. Now it seems that AEW has also lost a key figure on the creative team as well.
Fightful Select reports that Jimmy Jacobs is done with AEW. According to the report Jacobs was well liked in AEW and there’s no ill will related to his departure.
It was noted that Jimmy Jacobs decided to part ways with the company because he was burnt out and didn’t want to travel as much. AEW is reportedly looking at the move as a creative freshening for the company. Jimmy Jacobs was a major part of the creative team for over a year and was at more AEW shows than anyone outside of Tony Khan.
AEW officials have been aware that creative adjustments are needed and are making plans to do that internally. The expectation is that Jimmy Jacobs will be taking time off following his departure from All Elite Wrestling.
