AEW Files “Captain Insano” Trademark

AEW recently made a big announcement when it was revealed that Paul Wight had signed a deal with the company. Over the years Paul Wight has been known as The Giant in WCW, Big Show in WWE, and he also made appearance in the movie “The Waterboy” as a wrestler called Captain Insano.

According to Heel By Nature, AEW filed to trademark “Captain Insano” on March 2nd, and the trademark was entered into the trademark database on March 6th.

The trademark was filed for the following use:

International Class 09: Video game cartridges and discs; Digital media, namely, pre-recorded DVDs, downloadable audio and video recordings, and CDs featuring and promoting wrestling; Downloadable video game software; Recorded video game software.”

There’s speculation that due to the type of filing the trademark could be used in an upcoming AEW video game. The AEW console game is expected to be released in 2022.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
