It’s going to be a big week for the Ring of Honor brand as the Final Battle pay-per-view is set to air live from Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday night. Matt Cardona will be stepping up to challenge Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at the event, and it sounds like Cardona could potentially become All Elite sooner than later.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Matt Cardona has been offered an AEW contract. However, it’s not clear at this point in time if Matt Cardona has signed the contract.
“I know he was offered a contract. I don’t know if he’s signed or anything. So yeah, I guess maybe close.”
Matt Cardona addressed his status back in October during an interview when he admitted that he was shocked by the fact that he hadn’t received any offers to.
“Listen, I’ll be completely honest. I don’t know what the f*** is going on. I’ve done everything there is to do. I am legit shocked I haven’t gotten an offer from any company. And that’s not me being egotistical; that’s me being realistic. Like, what else can I possibly do? But I can’t let this run be fueled by bitterness or negativity.”
