There’s never a good time for a professional wrestler to be injured, and Fightful Select recently reported that Kyle Fletcher was suspected to have sustained a meniscus injury. It was also noted that Fletcher was dealing with other injuries that could contribute to time away from the ring.
On Wednesday afternoon Tony Khan announced that due to the injuries Kyle Fletcher will be out of action for months, but the belief is he will be back on television this year. He then confirmed that he has been forced to vacate the TNT Championship, and a Casino Gauntlet match will be held at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view to crown a new champion.
During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite fans will find out who is going to enter the gauntlet match at number one as Tommaso Ciampa is set to face off against Mascara Dorada to determine who will be taking the number one spot.
Fletcher captured the TNT Championship for the second time in his career when he defeated Tommaso Ciampa to win the belt on the January 31, 2026 episode of AEW Collision. We wish Kyle Fletcher a speedy recovery.
