Chris Jericho has become a very hot topic in the world of professional wrestling lately as he recently liked a post on social media which implied he should return to WWE. Jericho’s contract with AEW is set to expire at the end of 2025, and it looks like he could potentially be the next AEW star to jump ship.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are those in AEW who believe that Jericho won’t be back, and the expectation is that he’ll return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble.
People in WWE also expect Jericho to return to the company. The impression within WWE is that if they want to sign Chris Jericho they will be able to do so in January.
Chris Jericho has been consistently featured on AEW programming ever since he joined the company, but he has been off TV since April. AEW has given no indication that he could be returning to television in the near future, nor has Jericho himself. Currently Chris Jericho is among the highest paid people on the AEW roster.
