All Elite Wrestling has come a long way since the company was first announced in January of 2019, and AEW Dynamite has been going head to head with NXT on Wednesday nights for some time now.
Of course WWE is without a doubt the most well known wrestling organization in the world, but there’s no telling what the future might hold for AEW.
Tony Schiavone recently spoke to Sportskeeda’s Matty Paddock, and he noted that he doesn’t know if AEW will ever be as big as WWE, but he does want the brand to be a viable part of the wrestling world.
I don’t know if AEW will ever be as big as the WWE; with a Network, and the reach that they have overseas, because WWE has been around for a long time. But I’d like to see it be a viable part of wrestling [and] I’d like it to be a place where very good professional wrestlers – both men and women – can come and make a good living, and be treated fairly… that’s what I’d like AEW to be.”
