Right now the wrestling world is buzzing about WrestleMania 43 as it was recently reported that the show will emanate from Saudi Arabia in 2027. It’s also been reported that attempts will likely be made to bring in some of WWE’s biggest stars including The Rock.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Saudi Arabia is pushing for a main event which would see The Rock face off against either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.
It was also noted that those in Saudi Arabia close to the General Entertainment Authority said that the deal is official, and that negotiations with The Rock were advancing with the deal close to being finalized. The impression is that the final number regarding the payment for the show will be affected by whether or not The Rock ends up on the card in the main event. The idea is that The Rock’s payoff would be multiple times bigger than any other wrestler in history.
The total value of the deal for WrestleMania 43 is said to be $100 million, and a source from Saudi Arabia reportedly said “I can’t share with you the exact number but WWE asked for a higher number than $100 million as the show will feature The Rock (if the agreement is reached) and will be a packed mega stars show as the General Entertainment Authority requested.”
